Great Shelford Repair Cafe
22nd February 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm GMT
PLEASE NOTE The venue for this event will be in the Memorial Hall in Great Shelford – this is a different venue from our usual Repair Cafes in Great Shelford.
Bring along your broken item and a skilled volunteer will help you fix it! We can tackle a wide variety of repairs including jewellery, clothes and fabrics, electrical and electronic devices, and other items. Please note that we will not be able to replace cracked screens on phones or tablets. The repairers are brilliant and can fix a lot of things but there are no guarantees.
If you have a bicycle which needs attention, you don’t have to wait till this event – you can bring it to one of the weekly Dr Bike Stapleford workshops held each Tuesday afternoon from 3pm – 5:30pm at the Old Slaughterhouse on Church Street in Stapleford.
Booking is highly recommended to avoid a long wait on the day, and to make things fair we politely request only one item per person. Bookings will open a couple of weeks before the event.
We ask all visitors to read and sign our repair agreement as we are all volunteers.
It’s a free event but donations are very welcome. Tea and cake will be available of course!
If you have any questions, please email 2G3Srepaircafes@gmail.com but please note we can’t accept bookings via email.
Organised by 2G3S (Going Greener in the Shelfords, Stapleford and Sawston). http://2g3s.staplefordvillage.org.uk – part of the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network.
You can find this event, along with many other repair cafes in the South Cambs area, listed on the Cambridge Carbon Footprint website.
