Nature Walk to Nine Wells

Following the success of the Stapleford Parish Pit walk earlier this month, 2G3S is arranging a visit to the Nine Wells reserve on 29 June. The name refers to the number of chalk springs that act as the source for Hobson’s Conduit. Once again our guide is John O’Boyle, who will discuss the interesting flora and fauna of this woodland reserve and also its historic and geological importance.

Assemble at the noticeboard at the western entrance to the reserve. As before, sturdy footwear is advised.

Note: there is no car parking near to the site but it can be reached via a public footpath from Granham’s Road, or via permissive paths from Foster Road or Granham’s Road and the National Cycle Network path that runs between Shelford/Addenbrookes (the DNA path).
