DESCRIPTION:THE TIME IS NOW: VIRTUAL LOBBY FOR A HEALTHY\, GREEN & FAIR RECOVERY \n(TUESDAY 30 JUNE) \nSTOP PRESS: We are delighted to report that Anthony Browne has arranged a Zoom meeting for the South Cambs constituency at 4.00 pm on Monday 29 June.  It is not too late to register\, as below.  You are not obliged to ask a question\, but a large turnout will be indicative of the strength of feeling on the issues. \nEdited extract from The Climate Coalition invitation:  “The UK is at a turning point. As we build back from the current health crisis our best chance of building a stronger economy goes hand in hand with tackling climate change.  \n“We can rebuild a resilient economy that benefits everyone in society and tackle climate change & nature’s decline; creating jobs and protecting the most vulnerable in the UK and around the world. Or we can let the moment for change pass us by\, go back to old ways and wait for new crises to hit. \n“Using our voices to call for action is more important than ever. Have a virtual cup of tea with your MP on Tuesday 30 June and tell them that #TheTimeIsNow to put a healthy\, greener\, fairer future at the heart of plans to rebuild from the Coronavirus crisis. \nBe part of history. Sign up to be part of the first ever virtual lobby for climate\, nature and people.” \n2G3S is supporting the lobby\, and we urge you to participate.  The more constituents our MP\, Anthony Browne\, hears from\, the more pressure he will be under to hold the virtual meeting.  And the more we can convince him of the need to put a healthy\, greener\, fairer future at the heart of plans to rebuild from the pandemic\, the more likely he is to join with other MPs to persuade the government to do so. \nThe process is straightforward.  Register for the lobby here.  You will be invited to email your MP requesting a meeting at a time of his choosing (there is a suggested text) and will be given more details of what will happen and how to participate.  The meeting will be a joint meeting with everyone from S Cambs who has requested it\, including several members of 2G3S. \nWe hope you will join us!  If you are going to register\, please do this sooner rather than later so that the campaign gains momentum from the word go. \n
