Thanks to everyone who brought items to our Repair Cafe at the Great Shelford Free Church on 20th September 2025, for helping to make this event a success. We looked at 62 items (at least!) ranging from extendable garden loppers to record players and from sewing machines to rucsacks, and we had a pretty good success rate overall in fixing these diverse items.
There was also a stall run by South Cambs District Council to collect working but unwanted electricals, which were safety tested before being offered new homes for free – quite a few of these items were taken on the day by other attendees.
Our next Repair Cafe is on 22nd November in Sawston.
