‘Rise for Climate’ Action day

From 11 am, groups from Cambridge, including Cambridge Carbon Footprint, Fossil Free Cambs, Zero Carbon Cambridge, Friends of the Earth and Cambridge Conservation Forum are holding a day of action on the market square
They will be asking people to sign petitions calling for divestment from fossil fuels for the university and the county council, and encouraging people to write to their MP calling for an end to fracking in the UK.
There will be a big performance at 1.30pm, speeches, and a march later. The event will finish around 3pm.
