Sawston Repair Cafe
23rd November 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm GMT
Saturday 23rd November 2024 2pm- 5pm
St Mary’s Community Hall, Church Lane Sawston CB22 3JR
Bring along your broken item and a skilled volunteer will help you fix it! We can tackle a wide variety of repairs including jewellery, electrical and electronic devices, as well as clothes and fabrics including blinds, curtains, bags and suitcases and parasols, and other items.
Please note that we will not be able to replace cracked screens on phones or tablets. The repairers are brilliant and can fix a lot of things but there are no guarantees.
You can read more about what happens at a repair cafe in our blog post.
Bookings for this event are now closed. We still have some capacity for unbooked items, especially fabric and clothing repairs. We are fully booked as far as jewellery repairs are concerned. There are only a few repair slots remaining for electrical items. If you don’t have a booking, aim to arrive between 2:15pm and 4pm.
Parking is limited at the Community Hall – please leave access for those who need it and park nearby.
We will collect portable non-working (unfixable) electrical items and ensure these are properly disposed of.
We ask all visitors to read and sign our repair agreement as we are all volunteers. It’s a free event but donations are very welcome. Tea and cake will be available of course!
(If you have a bicycle which needs attention, you don’t have to wait till this event – you can bring it to one of the weekly Dr Bike Stapleford workshops held each Tuesday afternoon from 3pm – 5:30pm at the Old Slaughterhouse on Church Street in Stapleford).
If you have any questions, please email 2G3Srepaircafes@gmail.com but please note we can’t accept bookings via email.
